“Free Local Wi-Fi” is NTT West’s public Wi-Fi service developed in cooperation with local governments and voluntary sector organizations.
By working with local governments, NTT West hopes to use this service to offer greater convenience to tourists, to provide a reliable means of information-sharing and communication in the event of a disaster, and to improve administrative services and community development.
Stores, offices, and other establishments interested in joining the Free Local Wi-Fi service may apply for the Smart HIKARI Business Wi-Fi (High-End 6 Plan, High-End 6 Outdoor Plan) service.
Free Local Wi-Fi users are welcome to use the service free of charge upon authenticating their connection.
